Still Looking For Drivers, VW Unleashes A New Golf

Has it been a long time coming? Not sure. But nonetheless, Volkswagen has announced the latest and greatest of their Golf models: the R32. Expected to be priced around $32,000, this little VW comes loaded with a 3.2L V6 engine capable of 250hp. Transmission options come as a 6-speed manual, or with the DSG gearbox. And don't forgot the treasured 18-inch light alloy wheels that will sport 10 dual spokes. Look for more to come on this new VW.
Chrysler's Commanding Nearly 10% of Market

It may not be much of a surprise, but DaimlerChrysler has quite a jump on the passenger-car market in the United States. With over 9% of the market-share, Chrysler has seen excellent sale numbers. GM and Ford have recently offered the employee discount promotion to clear inventory, and it appears Chrysler doesn't have to do so. The more startling of the equation is that Chrysler has jumped up from a modest 7% of the market two years ago, to a steadily growing presence that now surpasses most competitors by significant margins.

On the flip side, Chrysler employees are displaying some of their unhappiness. Reported earlier, Chryler's salaried employees have staged a walk-out to send a message of their dissatisfaction with their employer. It was a lunch-time rally organized by UAW. Several issues are contentious, including reinstatement of merit increases and limitations on outsourcing.

Is Lexus Thinking Hybrid?

Rumor has it that Lexus might just be rolling out a Hybrid with the LS. I have yet to read any confirmation from Lexus but will certainly post anything I hear.

I'm sure that there will be no mistakes made if Lexus does rollout a snazzy mixer.
